The apartment is located in the elegant residential area of Prati, a district distinguished by liberty-style palazzos, wide leafy streets, broad squares and a fine array of fashion boutiques, restaurants, pubs, cinemas and theatres. On the corner of Via Giulio Cesare and Via Leone IV, just a few yards from the apartment, the Vatican walls clearly mark the way to the Sistine Chapel. Also just a few minutes’ walk from the apartment, through the ancient district of Borgo Pio, lie St Peter’s Church, Via della Conciliazione and Castel Sant'Angelo, from where it is possible to cross the Bernini statue-lined Bridge of Angels and enter the cobbled streets and lanes of the heart of the city of Rome: an area which includes Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and Piazza Campo dei Fiori.
In Prati, the colours, sounds and overflowing stalls of the recently–restored Trionfale market, the leading local market in Rome and one of the largest in Italy, make it definitely worth a visit, while, to the north of Via Andrea Doria, a lively flower market is open to the public every Tuesday morning. The apartment lies just 100 metres from Ottaviano underground station (Linea A) and is served by several bus services.
