The apartment is located in Via Mastro Giorgio in Testaccio, close to “Piramide” underground station.
Testaccio is one of the oldest areas of Rome and lies very close to some of the most important places of interest in the city.
Between the 2nd and 3rd centuries BC, Testaccio was home to the river port which served ancient Rome, the place where goods from the sea port of Ostia Antica were finally unloaded.
Today Testaccio is a lively area famous for its restaurants, which offer authentic Roman cuisine, and its nightclubs which offer some of the best nights out in Rome. Many of the bars and clubs have been dug straight out of the artificial Monte Testaccio hill leaving fragments of amphorae on full view to the public.
Every morning from Monday to Saturday an open food market is held in the main square of the area in which it is possible to buy fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers. The apartment is located in an ideal position for visiting places of interest by day and experiencing the Roman nightlife by night.
